Our horse riding tours start off from the stable yard working our way through our fields of sheep and cattle. We ride to a high point of the Te Anau basin to earn the panoramic 360 degree view of the spectacular mountain ranges and sparkling waters of Lake Te Anau.

Horse riding treks and prices

Winter Hours (1 May - 30 Sept):

1 Hour Novice Horse Ride, - Cost NZ$200 per person

• please note times are flexible to work around what the weather is doing, just call us.
• 10am and 1pm

30 min Pony Rides, - Cost NZ$70 per person - times by negotiation.

 

What to bring

• Sunscreen and a rain jacket. We also provide a jackets.
• Camera
  (your guide will take a photo of you and your horse with the mountains or lake as a magnificent memory for you)
• Sturdy closed toe footwear
• Long trousers
• Please note that our rider weight limit is 95kg/210lbs.

We provide

• Calm and well looked after horses!
• Saftey helmets

Please note,

• Winter horse treks are walking only.
• Children under 16yrs must be accompanied by an Adult or Guardian.
• Minimum age is 6yrs, we do pony rides for children younger than this around our stable yard for 30minute. Please call for availablity
• Prices increase on 24th Dec - 27th and 31st Dec - 2nd Jan.

 

Summer Hours (1 Oct - 30 April) :

2 hour Horse Trek, - Cost NZ$300 per person (This ride is not available in winter)

 Morning ride           - 9am

 Afternoon Ride       - 1pm

 

1 Hour Novice Horse Ride, - Cost NZ$200 per person

4:30pm

Cancellation Policy

If for any reason you find it necessary to cancel your trip, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure time will be charged in full.
